This policy explains what personal information EV Driving Lessons collects, why it is collected, and what you can do about it. It covers this website and the process of enquiring about and taking driving lessons.
Who is responsible for your information
EV Driving Lessons is a sole trader business run by Csaba, a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI 891592). Csaba is the data controller for the information described here.

What is collected
- Call-back form: your name, your town and your phone number.
- Messages: whatever you send by WhatsApp, SMS or email, including your phone number and profile name.
- Pupil records: once lessons start — pickup address, provisional licence details where needed, lesson dates, progress notes and payment records.
No special-category information is asked for. If you choose to tell Csaba about a medical condition, disability or anything else that affects your lessons, it is recorded only so far as it is needed to teach you safely, and it is not shared.
Why it is collected, and the lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a first lesson — steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- To deliver and record your lessons — performance of the contract between you and EV Driving Lessons.
- To keep financial records — legal obligation (HMRC).
- To answer complaints or insurance queries — legitimate interests in running the business and defending claims.
You will not be added to a marketing list from a lesson enquiry, and your details are never sold or passed to other driving schools or lead companies.
Who else handles it
Some suppliers process information on Csaba's behalf:
- Netlify — hosts this website and stores call-back form submissions.
- Zoho Mail — hosts the info@evdrivinglessons.co.uk mailbox.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — carries WhatsApp messages, under its own terms.
- Google — hosts the Google Business Profile and any review you choose to leave. Web fonts are also served by Google, which means Google receives your IP address when a page on this site loads.
Information may also be shared with an accountant, or with DVSA, an insurer or a lawyer where that is required.
How long it is kept
- Enquiries that do not lead to lessons: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Pupil and payment records: six years after your last lesson, which is the period HMRC requires for business records.
- WhatsApp threads: cleared periodically once a pupil has finished.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the information held about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, restrict or object to how it is used, or receive a copy in a portable format. Email info@evdrivinglessons.co.uk and Csaba will respond within one month.
If you are not happy with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not track you across other websites. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, as described above.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
